95 points Charles Curtis, MW (Decanter): "The main impression is one of black plum and cassis fruit, along with a structured, tannic feel on the palate. There is more substance than is often the case with Charmes in this delightful wine. This is produced from 0.15ha, all in Mazoyères. The vines are concentrated almost on the edge of Morey and touching the Route des Grands Crus (Combottes is just above). Formerly this same parcel was labelled as Mazoyères. The fermentation is done with one-third whole clusters, but this does not mark the wine to excess. Drinking Window: 2025-2050. (5/23/21)"

94-95 points/'Outstanding,' Steen Öhman (Winehog): "The Charmes-Chambertin is a lovely, intense, and vivid wine from the Mazoyeres part of the vineyard. Tremendous minerality and juicy fruit are carrying this to the next level, and I love the phenolic ripeness here. Drink from 2037. (6/2/22)"

91-94 points Allen Meadows (Burghound): "(for administrative reasons that are too involved to detail here, while this is actually from Mazoyères, INAO is mandating that it be declared as Charmes; with that said, Leroux had no choice but to comply with the regulatory red tape while inserting the correct name from the cadastres of the actual appellation). Airy and fresh though definitely ripe aromas of red and dark currant are laced with hints of humus, newly turned earth and a hint of just sliced fennel. There is good muscle and mid-palate density to the powerful medium weight plus flavors that conclude in a lingering if firm, serious, moderately rustic and youthfully austere finale. This isn’t a Charmes of finesse but there is very good balance and character. Patience strongly advised. Drink: 2035+. (Apr 2022)"
