92-95 points/'Sweet spot/Outstanding,' Allen Meadows (Burghound): "(from 3 separate parcels). A ripe and ever-so-vaguely exotic nose is comprised by notes of white peach, melon, acacia blossom and a whiff of grapefruit, all of which is trimmed in just enough wood to notice. The ultra-sleek, cool and refined medium-bodied flavors deliver outstanding depth and length on the overtly mineral-inflected, dry, clean and beautifully focused finale. This is a really lovely wine and while it will need to add depth as it ages, that should not present an issue. Drink: 2031+. (Jun 2023)"
94 points Bruce Sanderson (Wine Spectator): "[$570 list] Intense, with lemon curd, vanilla and baking spice aromas and flavors. Ripe and toasty as this plays out on the finish, where a mineral element peeks through. Slightly reserved, yet long. Best from 2025 through 2035. 250 cases made, 75 cases imported. (5/31/24)"
94 points Neal Martin (Vinous): "The 2021 Puligny-Montrachet Les Folatières 1er Cru has a very flattering bouquet of apricot and quince aromas, combining effortlessly with the malic fruit. The palate is tensile on the entry with a cutting line of acidity, fresh and sapid, with a precise and intense finish. Excellent. Drink: 2025-2044. (Jan 2024)"
92-93 points Jasper Morris, MW (Inside Burgundy): "Alas the 2021 Folatières has managed only a very low yield after the frost. A pale lemon and lime. Mid lemon yellow, quite blocky but still with some elegance. Builds well on the palate, ripe lemon skins alongside some apple fruit, good length, the oak is well integrated. (Apr 2023)"
