It's a youthful, lustrous colour with a fragrant, penetrating nose of fresh bay leaves, sweet spice, and red and black fruit. The palate is concentrated and rich in texture with a firm backbone of ripe but coating tannins giving savoury length. Very good, but lacking the ultimate beauty of some other vintages.
