92+ points Jeb Dunnuck: "The only wine produced by this great estate in the vintage, the 2020 Cabernet Sauvignon reveals a deep ruby/plum hue to go with terrific aromatics of ripe black fruits, graphite, iron, and background spicy wood. With tons of minerality on the palate as well as medium to full-bodied richness, it has ripe tannins, plenty of mid-palate depth, and outstanding length. It’s a terrific wine in the vintage that should have 15-20 years of overall longevity. Drink: 2023-2043. (2/16/23)"
92 points Jonathan Cristaldi (Decanter): "The 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon was produced during the transition from winemaker Dan Petroski to Avery Heelan, formerly of Screaming Eagle. Historically, parts of the winery's estate grapes have been harvested by the third week in September, and in 2020 much was the same, though this is the only wine they bottled for the entire vintage. The 2020 is tightly wound, delicate, and elegant with a medium-bodied palate feel, exuding aromas and flavours of cherries, plums, cranberry, and cedar spices with graceful tannins. What is evident is the tension and energy teeming from this almost translucent red, rounded out with dried florals and whispers of mocha and herbs. Drinking Window: 2023-2030. (4/3/23)"
92 points Wine Spectator: "[$125 list] Pushes a warm loamy note to the fore, along with steeped black currant and blackberry paste flavors, while bittersweet cocoa, worn leather and savory accents fill in through the finish. Shows a grippy back end, so give this a couple of years to fully open up. Best from 2024 through 2035. (11/15/23)"
