93 points Antonio Galloni (Vinous): "The 1995 Larcis Ducasse is a very beautiful wine. It also shows a good bit of the density that is missing from so many of the wines of this era at Larcis. Sweet tobacco, truffle, white pepper, mint and dried cherry notes all lift from the glass. Sensual, silky and beautifully polished, the 1995 is a terrific choice for drinking now and over the next decade or so. Drink: 2017-2027. (Mar 2017)"

92 points (16/20) La Revue du Vin de France (Jan 2005).

91 points Wine Spectator: "This has a nice briary edge, with a core of cassis, blackberry and damson plum fruit. The solid, chalky spine shows up on the finish, offering a nice range of lightly toasted spice notes. There's good energy here, with a lingering whiff of mint at the very end. Not bad for a wine that was released at $20 back in the day. -- Larcis Ducasse non-blind vertical (December 2012). (3/31/13)"
