92 points Tim Atkin, MW (2016).

89-92 points Allen Meadows (Burghound): "This is the first wine to display any appreciable wood influence though it’s not so much as to mask the cool and pure if mildly exotic fruit and floral-scented nose. There is the same racy energy present here on the beautifully well-detailed and very firmly mineral-inflected medium weight flavors that exude a bitter lemon note on the lingering and notably saline finale. Drink: 2020+. (Jun 2016)"

91 points Stephen Tanzer (Vinous): "(bottled a month before my visit): Enticing scents of lemon, wild herbs and minerals complicated by honey and soil tones. Concentrated, musky lemon-limey fruit is intensified by strong acidity and underlying minerality. Finishes fine-grained, perfumed and very long, with noteworthy grip. This very sexy Saint-Aubin will give early pleasure. Drink 2018-2025." (Sep 2016)

90+ points John Gilman (View From the Cellar): "The 2014 les Frionnes from Domaine Lamy was also showing very well, wafting from the glass in a bright and classy bouquet of apple, pear, spring flowers, a lovely base of limestone and a gentle framing of vanillin oak. On the palate the wine is pure, full-bodied, long and focused with a lovely core, fine balance and grip and a long, vibrant and classy finish. Good juice. 2016-2030. (Nov/Dec 2015)"

90 points Jasper Morris, MW (Inside Burgundy): "This 2014 Frionnes is just beginning to move on to the next stage of development, with the emergence of a slight wet wool note but still the essential wine behind seems very young. It is rather closed down, betwixt and between with a drier note to the finish. All signs of adolescence! Though awkward at the moment, I would expect this to regain composure and emerge in another couple of years. I would not be surprised by a higher rating next time round. Drink from 2025-2030. Tasted Nov 2022."
