97 points William Kelley (Wine Advocate): "Lamy produced seven barrels of the 2022 Saint-Aubin 1er Cru Derrière Chez Edouard Haute Densité from this parcel at the top of the slope, planted at densities of up to 30,000 vines per hectare. Unwinding in the glass with aromas of pear, peach and sweet citrus oil mingled with notions of honeycomb, white flowers and toasty reduction, it's medium to full-bodied, dense and layered, with huge reserves of concentration and structuring dry extract, bright animating acids and a long, electric finish. This is another masterpiece from Olivier Lamy. Drink: 2030-2055. (1/30/25)"

96 points Jasper Morris, MW (Inside Burgundy): "Planted in 2001. Having experimented elsewhere at 14,000 plants/ha (0.7 x 1m), Olivier upgraded to 30,000 (0.33 x 1m) then, when the law was changed to outlaw this density, he continued at 20,000 plants (0.5 x 1m) when increasing the size of the plot in 2007. Today he has 0.40ha at 30,000 and 0.30 at 20,000. Super chiselled on the nose, entirely white fruit, then almost ludicrously concentrated on the palate, while retaining an austerity of profile which is just a question of youth Drink from 2030-2040. Tasted Nov 2024."

94 points Neal Martin (Vinous): "The 2022 Saint-Aubin Derrière Chez Edouard "Haut Densité" 1er Cru has a fresh but tightly wound nose featuring hints of flint, shucked oyster shell and grassy meadow. The palate is beautifully balanced, vibrant, poised and focused, with a silver thread of acidity and just a slight honeyed note right on the finish. This is excellent. Drink: 2027-2048. (Jan 2025)"

93-94 points/'Very Fine,' Steen Öhman (Winehog): "The Saint-Aubin Derriere Chez Edouard High Density is turning into a classic for Olivier Lamy. The deep midpalate fruit and minerality intensity are mindboggling. The nose offers deep fruit – notes of white peach, pear, almonds, lemon – intense with a very gourmandine palate that can handle all generous dishes that are found qualified to be served in this fine context. A treat … that has found its place in the universe of Olivier Lamy Drink from 2032. (1/15/25)"

93 points/'Outstanding,' Allen Meadows (Burghound): "(from a vine density equivalent of 30,000 vines/ha). Moderate wood influence is present on the exuberantly floral-infused aromas of the essence of pear, citrus rind, and wet stone. The succulent, delicious and tautly muscular flavors flash evident minerality on the impressively persistent finish that is quite dry, moderately austere and solidly powerful. This decidedly compact effort is also very much built-to-age and a wine that's going to need a minimum of 5 to 7 years first. Drink: 2033+. (Jun 2025)"
