93 points Tim Atkin, MW (Decanter): "The most south-facing of all' is how Olivier Lamy describes this classic Saint Aubin from a vineyard on hard limestone soils at 300 metres. The vines certainly suffered from heat stress in 2018, but there's no sign of that in the finished wine, which is bright, chalky and well balanced, with gentle oak spice and the pithy tang that's a feature of the domaine's style. Drinking Window: 2021-2026. (Oct 2019)"

90-92 points/'Outstanding,' Allen Meadows (Burghound): "This too is overtly floral in character with plenty of citrus influences to the pear, apple and softly spicy aromas. The richer and solidly concentrated medium weight flavors exude a subtle bead of minerality that adds a sense of lift on the clean, dry and youthfully austere finale. Lovely stuff that should age well if desired. Drink: 2025+. (Jun 2020)"

90-92 points William Kelley (Wine Advocate): "The 2018 Saint-Aubin 1er Cru Clos du Meix reveals aromas of crisp green apple, white flowers, citrus zest and freshly baked bread, followed by a medium to full-bodied, round but incisive palate that's chalky and mineral, with fine depth at the core and a long finish. This rocky, southeasterly exposed site is located by the village, below Derrière Chez Edouard. (Feb 2020)"

90-92 points Neal Martin (Vinous): "The 2018 Saint-Aubin Clos de Meix 1er Cru comes from hard limestone soils in the middle of the village. It has an intense, quite malic bouquet featuring Granny Smith apples, freshly sliced pear and sea spray. The palate is well balanced with a fine line of acidity, impressive weight in the mouth and a harmonious, saline finish that bodes well for the future. I can see this aging well. Drink: 2022-2036. (Jan 2020)"

Bill Nanson (Burgundy Report): "(0.7 metres planting distance here – so 14,000/ha planting density. Vines sited below the church.) A narrow but deep nose – high toned too – vertical and very appealing. Round but only in the mouth-filling sense, some softness but lots of energy – concentrated indeed layered finishing – this is quite different. Delicious finishing again. (12/19/19)"
