94+ points William Kelley (Wine Advocate): "The 2022 Saint-Aubin 1er Cru Clos de la Chatenière is showing brilliantly, offering up aromas of pear, orange oil, toasted hazelnuts and warm stones. Medium to full-bodied, dense and satiny, with a layered core of fruit, chalky structuring extract and a long, precise finish, I sometimes think that this cuvée—from old, virused vines in one of Saint-Aubin's most historic terroirs for Chardonnay—is one of the most underrated in Lamy's range. Drink: 2027-2050. (Jan 2025)"

94 points Neal Martin (Vinous): "The 2022 Saint-Aubin Clos de la Chatenière 1er Cru comes from older vines planted in 1964 on chalky soils. This has another mineral-driven, almost penetrating bouquet that grabs the olfactory senses. The palate is well balanced, fresh and focused, with Clementine and lemon zest notes and a cohesive, persistent finish. It's very intense and the sapidity makes you want to drink more and more. You have been warned. Drink: 2026-2045. (Jan 2025)"

94 points/'Outstanding,' Allen Meadows (Burghound): "(worked entirely by hand as the vineyard has a 40% south-facing slope which ensures that it receives plenty of sun). Firm reduction is all that can be discerned on the nose so in the off chance you wish to try a bottle young, be sure to give it air first. Otherwise, there is almost painful intensity on the gorgeously textured medium-bodied flavors that brim with both minerality and sappy dry extract on the complex and hugely long finish. Chatenière is a quality St. Aubin 1er but even so, it's rare to find this level of quality. Highly recommended. Drink: 2033+. (Jun 2025)"

92-93 points/'Fine,' Steen Öhman (Winehog): "Very elegant and vivid oulala … perfect mature fruit …. “Lovely liveliness… je adore – sexy sexy”. Ok, let’s not get carried away here its how I like my Lamy ripeness wise …the freshness … legér and very appealing … for drinking the full bottle and thinking about the next one. Lamy is using long elevage … and I find that it’s very important that the ripeness is on the perfect level or even slightly low on the phenolic side to maintain some tension in the fruit. Drink from 2031. (1/15/25)"
