92 points William Kelley (Wine Advocate): "The 2019 Saint-Aubin 1er Cru Derrière Chez Edouard includes some 30% high-density plantings that Lamy considers too young to contribute to his special Haute Densité bottling, and when combined with the concentrated 2019 vintage, the results are spectacular. Offering up aromas of pear, crushed mint, freshly baked bread, vanilla pod and lemon oil, it's medium to full-bodied, layered and multidimensional, with terrific concentration, racy acids and a long, searingly mineral finish. Drink: 2027-2057. (Jan 2022)"

92.3 points CellarTracker.com community score.

90-92 points Jasper Morris, MW (Inside Burgundy): "Not racked yet, so the bouquet is a little bit stinky though it soon blows off. Actually this is rather elegant behind, stretching out very nicely across the palate, fine and generous, with a long graceful aftertaste. (Oct 2020)"

89-92 points Allen Meadows (Burghound): "Here too the nose is firmly reduced and unreadable. More interesting are the intense and highly energetic medium weight flavors that offer a bit more depth on the persistent, bracingly dry and more firmly structured finale. This is potentially excellent for what it is if it can add depth with bottle aging. Drink: 2027+. (Jun 2021)"

Bill Nanson (Burgundy Report): "(A warm area that matures very fast – it’s steep, with hard limestone here. 55-year-old vines and starting with some high-density too.) Hmm, now thats a super nose, a beauty. Deep, beautiful layers of fine-textured flavour. thats a great Santenay for the patient. Bravo! ?(12/24/20)"
