91-93 points/'Outstanding,' Allen Meadows (Burghound): "This too is very firmly reduced and aromatically unreadable. The middle weight plus flavors possess excellent richness thanks to the abundance of mouth coating sap that also buffers the moderately firm acidity that does a fine job of maintaining both the balance but also imparting a sense of lift and intensity to the well-balanced, bone dry and mineral-inflected finale. In contrast to several of the wines that should be approachable young this would be best left for at least 3 to 5 years first and it should easily repay up to a decade's worth. Drink: 2022+. (Jun 2016)"

91-93 points Stephen Tanzer (Vinous): "(these vines were planted in 1989 and 1970 on hard, rocky calcaire and red clay): Bright pale yellow. Ineffable scent of vineyard peach. Fine-grained and elegant, showing excellent lift to the orchard fruit and stone flavors. Subtle, dry and impeccably balanced wine, with a long, refined finish energized by a pronounced citrus quality. Should make a great example of this premier cru. (Sep 2015)"

92 points John Gilman (View From the Cellar): "The 2014 les Chaumées is another very fine Chassagne in the making chez Lamy, and the wine shows a bit more elegance in its soil signature, due to the higher percentage of limestone in the soils here in comparison to more terres rouges soils in the les Macherelles. The wine offers up a superb and wide open bouquet of apple, pear, a complex base of chalky soil tones, apple blossoms and vanillin oak. On the palate the wine is pure, full-bodied and deep at the core, with lovely silkiness already in evidence on the attack, fine focus and grip and a very long, complex and wide open finish. This will drink with great style right out of the blocks, but has the requisite balance to also age long and gracefully. Fine juice. 2016-2035. (Nov/Dec 2015)"

Bill Nanson (Burgundy Report): "A sweeter, warmer nose yet elegantly wide too. Super texture, really, fine energy and complexity. – a beauty. Really finely finishing with a weight of extra flavour. Even in this cellar – extra special! (11/30/15)"
