97 points La Revue du Vin de France: "Clos du Cailleret pushes the boundaries, offering greater intensity, persistence, and precision in its definition, integrating its elevage more seamlessly than ever before. (2026)"
97 points Bettane & Desseauve Guide (2026).
94-96 points Jasper Morris, MW (Inside Burgundy): "Mid lemon yellow. A classical bouquet with the limestone flesh here, the fruit more white stone fruit than anything obviously riper, with fine tension and excellent minerality underlying the warmth of the fruit. Excellent intensity, just the right degree of acidity and fine length. (Nov 2024)"
95 points Charles Curtis, MW (Decanter): "The 2023 Clos du Cailleret from Jacques Devauges at the Domaine des Lambrays is superb, with pronounced aromas of pomelo and nectarine, floral notes and a firm, mineral underpinning. Despite the year's warmth, lovely freshness and marvellous depth work together to draw this to a lingering finish. Harvest began on 1 September. The grapes were pressed as whole clusters and are ageing in cask, one new out of seven. Drinking Window: 2030-2050. (5/23/24)"
95 points Christy Canterbury, MW (TimAtkin.com): "Jacques Devauges loves to combine science with craft, and he was thrilled to point out this wine's 3.2 pH—impressively low in such a hot vintage and almost exactly the same as in 2022. Unsurprisingly, the sleek, dry palate feels appropriately chiselled by soaring acidity. A plethora of flavors swirls in the glass: peach pit, grated coconut, warm pie crust and crushed stones. These 70-year-old vines make wines that last just as long, as Jacques attests from the many old bottles he has tasted from the cellar. (2025)"
93-95 points Fine Wine Review: "Precise and focused, this wine is less rich than the Folatières and has a touch of bitterness on the finish. (2/28/25)"
92-94 points Neal Martin (Vinous): "The 2023 Puligny-Montrachet Clos du Cailleret 1er Cru, as usual, has more mineralité and complexity on the nose compared to Les Folatières, with just a touch of melted wax and smoke in the background. The palate is well balanced with a tang of orange zest on the entry, a taut line of acidity and quite a concentrated and persistent finish. This is very promising. Drink: 2027-2048. (Jan 2025)"
91-93 points/'Outstanding,' Allen Meadows (Burghound): "(from a parcel measuring .37 ha that was planted in 1947). Discreet if still easily perceptible wood influence is present on the cooler aromas of lemon-lime, acacia blossom, mineral reduction and a suggestion of green apple. There is both excellent volume and mid-palate density to the utterly delicious and even more mineral-driven flavors that conclude in a beautifully long and balanced finish that is borderline tannic. Like the Folatières, this well-made effort is going to require at least a few years of bottle aging. Worth a look. Drink: 2029+. (Jan 2025)"
