93-96 points Jasper Morris, MW (Inside Burgundy): "This cuvée no longer contains Clos des Lambrays young vines. The plot called 30 rangs (planted 2000) was in this wine up to 2021. La Riotte and Le Village remain, the 20 ares of Clos Sorbe has been added to new vineyards (see below) from Domaine Cosson, but instead there is fruit from half a hectare of Les Blanchards, also ex Cosson. Glowing purple. A beautifully lifted bouquet with 40% whole bunches, alpine strawberries, all in finesse. Then the wine builds to an extra level of intensity, more than expected from the elegance of the nose, The fruit shows additional nuances as well, entirely red fruit, some ripe cherries now showing as well. Just a few spices to finish. (Nov 2023)"

95 points Charles Curtis, MW (Decanter): "The composition of this blended Morey premier cru changes with the 2022 vintage: there is no more young vine fruit from the Clos des Lambrays (since they are no longer young). The blend now comprises Clos Sorbè, Les Blanchards, and small amounts of La Riotte and Le Village to make up 0.8 hectares. The blend delivers a superb, elegant wine with a luminous blackberry fruit with hints of violets and spice. The texture has more density, tannin, and less lively freshness than the Clos Baulet. The grapes are partially destemmed and gently fermented before ageing in cask (40% new). Drinking Window: 2028-2055. (2/11/23)"

94 points La Revue du Vin de France: "Distinctive, drawn from whole clusters, the Les Loups premier cru asserts a mineral character and a slender structure with very refined tannins, prolonged by a touch of citrus peel on the finish. (2025)"

94 points Zekun Shuai (JamesSuckling.com): "A nuanced and complex wine with aromas of dried flowers, dark spices, berries, forest floor and a touch of grilled citrus. Fine, integrated tannins, medium to full body and a linear finish that lingers really well. Drink or hold. (2/20/25)"

92-94 points Neal Martin (Vinous): "The 2022 Morey-Saint-Denis Les Loups 1er Cru is the first vintage not to include fruit from the Grand Cru, as the vines have reached 22 years, so that is not blended into the Clos des Lambrays. It now includes fruit from Les Blanchard, La Riotte and Le Village (yes, the latter is a Premier Cru). This has a very perfumed, floral bouquet with crushed strawberry and wild cherry scents, potpourri and a hint of lavender - quite Vosne-like in style. The palate is medium-bodied with fine-grain tannins. There is good depth here and fine complexity and salinity on the finish; this reconfigured Les Loups is worth seeking out. Drink: 2026-2042. (Jan 2024)"

93 points CellarTracker.com community score.

90-93 points/'Outstanding,' Allen Meadows (Burghound): "(from the 1ers La Riotte, Les Blanchards and Le Village; 50% whole cluster). A discreet application of wood sets off the slightly more elegant, and certainly more floral-suffused, aromas of red cherry, currant and crushed anise. There is fine volume to the rich and intense medium-bodied flavors that deliver fine length on the dusty, youthfully austere and more complex finale that is just a bit more structured. Fine development potential here. Drink: 2030+. (Jan 2024)"
