93-95 points Fine Wine Review: "The Morey-Clos Baulet shows darker fruit, although there is still some red present. It is medium-weight with good grip and length. (2/28/25)"
94 points Charles Curtis, MW (Decanter): "The ripe, curranty fruit aromas of the Morey Clos Baulet has an agreeable note of eucalyptus or rosemary; Jacques Devauges says ‘végétale noble’, but the translation doesn’t convey the charm of this earthy, slightly rustic note. The tannins are firm but not astringent and there is enough freshness to draw the wine to a lovely finish. The grapes are from the 0.30 hectare plot just down from the winery. The wine will be ready to open in five to seven years, and will continue to improve for another 20 beyond that. Drinking Window: 2028-2060. (5/23/24)"

92-94 points Jasper Morris, MW (Inside Burgundy): "Ruby purple, with a bundle of energy on the nose. Glowing deep dark red fruit, with a little white pepper, much more energy to the fruit, mouth filling dark red raspberry, spicy at the finish, shows warmth and delicacy at the same time. (Nov 2024)"
93 points Christy Canterbury, MW (TimAtkin.com): "Clos des Lambrays is one of just a few producers who put this Premier Cru on a label. It's a spice bomb with throat-filling blackberries and a long, woodsy length. The acidity is almost high strung it is so tangy, but it is a perfect foil to the 14% abv here (the highest in the cellar along with Les Loups.). (2025)"
90-93 points/'Outstanding,' Allen Meadows (Burghound): "(from a .30 ha parcel; 50% whole clusters). This is aromatically similar to the Loups if perhaps just slightly spicier. By contrast, the medium weight flavors are not quite as rich and generous with a bit more verve suffusing the youthfully austere bitter pit fruit-inflected finish. This sleek and delicious effort should also repay 6 to 10 years of keeping. Drink: 2030+. (Jan 2025)"

90-92 points Neal Martin (Vinous): "The 2023 Morey-Saint-Denis Clos Baulets 1er Cru is the smallest Premier Cru on brown soils, with Lambrays holding 0.3 hectares. The 50% stems seem quite exposed on the nose and occludes the fruit at present. The palate is medium-bodied with grainy tannins and slightly darker fruit. It is overtly peppery thanks to those stems, which will require time to integrate. I will be prudent for now. Drink: 2027-2038. (Jan 2024)"
