92 points Joaquín Hidalgo (Vinous): "The 2017 Malbec Lamadrid Gran Reserva from Agrelo, Luján de Cuyo was aged for 18 months in 60% new barrels. A rich purple in color, the nose presents profound plum and blackberry notes alongside herbs and hints of sweet spices from the aging process such as caramel and cedar. Broad and fleshy in the mouth, the relaxed flow is sculpted slightly by fine, reactive tannins that also enhance the texture and stretch out the ripe candied fruit and caramel finish. Drink: 2021-2032. (Nov 2021)"
92 points James Suckling: "This has aromas of dried blueberries, grilled plums, walnuts, mocha and charred bark. It’s medium-to full-bodied with firm, fine tannins. Excellent structure, with a well-integrated, toasty edge. Finishes fresh. Drink now or hold. (2/21/22)"
