97 points Chris Kissack (Winedoctor): "An old favourite of mine as I really got to know this property during the 1980s, and a well-known estate now in the hands of Silvio Denz. Poured from a 75cl bottle. Another impressive appearance here, showing an intense orange-gold hue in the glass. The nose is quite brilliant, with intertwined scents of bitter apricot, orange zest, almonds, praline, black tea leaves and truffle. This is matched by a palate blessed by a fabulous texture and light grain, underpinned by a savoury energy. The layers of sweet apricot and little crème caramel flavours are more than compensated for by the wine’s pithy and phenolic grip, and its fresh acidity. Altogether a brilliant style, savoury and fine, very complete, with fantastic drive from its tension and acidity. Drink or hold. The declared alcohol is 14%. (Dec 2021)"
96 points James Suckling: "Wow. This has a seamless texture and wonderful depth of fruit with dried pineapple, pear and hints of honey. Full body, very sweet and dense. Superb. Sliced white truffles. Fantastic. Drink or hold. (10/22/12)"
95 points Wine Spectator: "Exotic and ripe with loads of tropical fruit and sweet fruit. Full-bodied, spicy and very long. Sweet and loaded with botrytis. This is a young Sauternes built for aging. Drink after 2010. (9/15/04)"
