89+ points John Gilman (View From the Cellar): "The Lafarge family has made one of the finest examples of Bourgogne rouge in all of Burgundy since at least I have been visiting the region, and probably for a generation or two before that! Their 2021 version is quite red fruity in personality this year, offering up a complex bouquet of cherries, strawberries, a lovely base of soil, woodsmoke and a touch of sweet stem tones in the upper register. On the palate the wine is bright, pure and fullish, with lovely transparency, a good core of red fruit, modest tannins and a long, vibrant finish that closes with lovely lift. 2026-2040. (Nov/Dec 2022)"

89 points Christy Canterbury, MW (TimAtkin.com) (2023).

87-89 points/'Outstanding/Top Value,' Allen Meadows (Burghound): "(from 40+ year old vines in Petit Pré which was once classified as Volnay villages). A slightly more elegant nose is comprised by aromas of red pinot fruit, plum and soft earth nuances. There is again good vibrant and detail to the utterly delicious medium weight flavors that culminate in a highly refreshing and lingering finale. This is also terrific for its level and equally highly recommended. Drink: 2026+. (Apr 2023)"

87-89 points Jasper Morris, MW (Inside Burgundy): "A paler pink crimson. Superb classic floral pinot nose. Fills the mouth very prettily, medium bodied but elegant and very long. Drink from 2024-2028. (Oct 2022)"
