94 points Christy Canterbury, MW (TimAtkin.com): "Still spry at 102 years old, these vines produced around 30-35 hl/ha in 2023. The density on the palate is remarkable: black cherries, pomegranates, plum peels and damp earth mingle with a touch of black tea. The texture is firm and demands time. Try to wait at least five years. (2025)"

92-94 points Jasper Morris, MW (Inside Burgundy): "Just finishing malo. The 2023 Grèves includes the 8-year-old plot with the 100+ old vines. The young refresh the old and the old teach the young. A lovely fresh purple. What energy! A little bit of bramble to this. Fine structure. All will come together and harmonise. Very promising. (Dec 2024)"

93+ points John Gilman (View From the Cellar): "In contrast to the Clos des Aigrots, the 2023 Beaune “Grèves” is very red fruity in personality this year chez Lafarge. The bright and complex bouquet hops from the glass in a beautiful blend of red plums, red and black cherries, woodsmoke, dark soil tones, a gentle framing of vanillin oak and a beautiful floral topnote redolent of both violets and lavender. On the palate the wine is pure, full-bodied, complex and soil-driven, with a great core of pure fruit, ripe tannins and a long, tangy and impeccably balanced finish. A simply stunning bottle of Beaune in the making! 2037-2085. (Jan/Feb 2025)"

93 points CellarTracker.com community score.

90-93 points/'Outstanding,' Allen Meadows (Burghound): "(from 100-year-old vines where more than 90% are from the original plantation). A riper and distinctly earthier nose also freely offers up its array of poached plum, underbrush and a whiff of humus character. There is both good volume and verve to the delicious and sappy bigger-bodied and more powerful flavors that also conclude in a long, balanced and youthfully austere finale that is noticeably more structured. At least some patience will be necessary. Drink: 2033+. (Apr 2025)"
