93 points Charles Curtis, MW (Decanter): "This is 0.23ha of a parcel at the top of the slope, under the trees, which is planted to Chardonnay. The grapes are lightly crushed and fermented in a vertical press, before fermenting in cask without settling (10% new). The wine opens slowly to reveal a ripe peardrop fruit character, with shadings of spice and beeswax on the nose, plus a balanced texture, with plenty of substance balanced by just enough acidity. Drinking Window: 2024-2039. (Oct 2020)"

91-93 points William Kelley (Wine Advocate): "The 2019 Beaune 1er Cru Clos des Aigrots Blanc is bright and expressive, soaring from the glass with scents of Anjou pear, citrus oil, white flowers and hazelnuts. Medium to full-bodied, lively and precise, it's nicely concentrated, with brisk acids and a long, mineral finish. (Jan 2021)"

91-93 points Jasper Morris, MW (Inside Burgundy): "This wine is made in a slightly different way from the other whites: the grapes are crushed and then processed in a vertical press. Clear pale colour, this is lovely with an extra degree of intensity and a rich white fruit behind. A hint of sucrosity at this stage, but the bone structure will win out. (Oct 2020)"

90-93 points/'Outstanding/Top value,' Allen Meadows (Burghound): "(in 2013 the name was changed from Les Aigrots to Clos des Aigrots; there are only 4 owners that have the right to use the designation Clos here). An overtly floral-suffused nose offers up notes of white fleshed fruit, lemon-lime and a whiff of mineral reduction. There is excellent punch to the stonier medium-bodied flavors where the chiseled and linear finish possesses plenty of underlying tension. This attractively dry and somewhat youthfully austere finish will need at least a few years of cellaring to add flesh and a bit more depth. Lovely and understated stuff. Drink: 2026+. (Jun 2021)"

90-92 points Neal Martin (Vinous): "The 2019 Beaune Clos des Aigrots 1er Cru Blanc comes from a single hectare parcel, the top part below the forest is planted to Chardonnay and the rest to Pinot Noir. It has a generous bouquet, the 10% new oak lends a little more intensity. The palate is lovely, orange pith and touches of mandarin, very harmonious with just the right amount of bitterness on the finish. Very fine. Drink: 2022-2032. (Dec 2020)"
