93 points John Gilman (View From the Cellar): "The 2017 Clos des Aigrots blanc is excellent this year. The wine is pure and complex on both the nose and palate, with the bouquet delivering scents of apple, white peach, chalky minerality, a touch of fresh almond, beeswax and a hint of vanillin oak. On the palate the wine is pure, full-bodied, complex and shows a nice touch of reserve to its personality, with a fine core, excellent transparency, bright, zesty acids and very good grip on the long, complex and beautifully balanced finish. This will want a few years in the cellar to blossom, but will prove to be outstanding. 2021-2045. (Nov/Dec 2018)"

91-93 points Neal Martin (Vinous): "The 2017 Beaune Clos des Aigrots 1er Cru Blanc, located just after Clos des Mouches, already has quite a strict and chalky bouquet that opens discretely in the glass. The palate is beautifully balanced, a little fatter than Lafarge’s Meursault, with hints of tropical fruit (guava and passion fruit) that lift this white Beaune into something so irresistible and pleasurable. Gorgeous! Drink: 2020-2035. (Jan 2019)"

90-92 points William Kelley (Wine Advocate): "Aromas of smoky green orchard fruit and ripe citrus fruits introduce the 2017 Beaune 1er Cru Les Aigrots Blanc, a medium to full-bodied, layered and incisive wine with good cut and flesh. Pretty and flavorful, this will offer a broad drinking window. (Jan 2019)"

89-92 points/'Don't miss!' Allen Meadows (Burghound): "(in 2013 the name was changed from Les Aigrots to Clos des Aigrots; there are only 4 owners that have the right to use the designation Clos here). A fresh, cool and citrus-inflected nose offers up primarily notes of green apple and citrus. The sleek, intense and beautifully well-detailed middle weight flavors are overtly stony while delivering quality length on the balanced finish. This isn't quite as complex as the VS but it's notably finer. A choice. Drink: 2024+.(Apr 2019)"

89-92 points Fine Wine Review: "This is one of the great estates of Burgundy and has been for generations, even before Michel Lafarge, who recently celebrated his 90th birthday and is in amazing mental and physical shape, brought the domaine to international attention. Michel’s son Frédéric recently celebrated his 60th birthday has continued the tradition, and on this trip I briefly met Frédéric’s daughter Clothilde who now works in the estate, too... This is a great set of wines with eight premiers crus of top quality, and finally, reasonable quantities will be available...The Beaune-Clos des Aigrots has fine acidity, finesse, purity, elegance, and some minerality. (1/19/19)"

91 points Jasper Morris, MW (Inside Burgundy): "I really like this cuvée, which is made slightly differently. The grapes are crushed first and then pressed in an old-fashioned vertical press. Does this make the difference or is it the vineyard? Either way, the wine has a fresh and elegant nose, with some fresh pears, otherwise white fruit, very good acidity, excellent persistence, long and fine. Tasted: November 2018. (Nov 2018)"
