91-93 points Jasper Morris, MW (Inside Burgundy): "No change in colour, similar class, but with a touch of orange blossom. Elegant and stylish once again. A little bit more tension, fine boned, but especially good at the back. Savoury peppery finish. (Oct 2020)"
90-93 points/'Outstanding/Top value,' Allen Meadows (Burghound): "(in 2013 the name was changed from Les Aigrots to Clos des Aigrots; there are only 4 owners that have the right to use the designation Clos here). An overtly floral-suffused nose offers up notes of white fleshed fruit, lemon-lime and a whiff of mineral reduction. There is excellent punch to the stonier medium-bodied flavors where the chiseled and linear finish possesses plenty of underlying tension. This attractively dry and somewhat youthfully austere finish will need at least a few years of cellaring to add flesh and a bit more depth. Lovely and understated stuff. Drink: 2026+. (Jun 2021)"
92 points Charles Curtis, MW (Decanter): "The gentle fermentation and ageing in cask (15% new) deliver subtle results, with red and black fruit, a hint of smoke and spice, then a texture that displays finesse and firmness in equal measure. Produced from a 0.66ha of this parcel planted to Pinot, some of it in 1949, in red clay soils. The fruit is destemmed, but the berries left whole as much as possible. Drinking Window: 2024-2039. (Oct 2020)"
90-92 points Neal Martin (Vinous): "The 2019 Beaune Clos des Aigrots 1er Cru has a perfumed, floral bouquet, the judicous 15% new oak allows the fruit to flourish. The palate is very well balanced with blackberry and raspberry laced with white pepper, the mineralité surfacing towards the almost Pommard-like finish. Drink: 2023-2036. (Dec 2020)"
