93 points John Gilman (View From the Cellar): "The 2018 Clos des Aigrots Blanc is another terrific young white wine from the Lafarge family. The bouquet reveals an aromatic constellation of apple, tangerine, a complex base of chalky minerality, white lilies, gentle notes of new oak and a topnote of citrus peel. On the palate the wine is pure, full-bodied and quite youthful in personality, with lovely mid-palate depth, fine focus and grip and a very long, vibrant and racy finish. This is going to be a stellar example of the vintage, but it will need a bit of bottle age to really start hitting on all cylinders. 2025-2055. (Nov/Dec 2019)"

90-93 points Jasper Morris, MW (Inside Burgundy): "The vertical press was used here, which may have enhanced the quality of what is in any case usually the ebst white in the Lafarge cellar. Beautiful clear wine. This has excellent personality with a super-suave texture and correct acidity. Almost cashmere following on the white fruit with some pears. Very long and fine. (Nov 2019)"

92+ points William Kelley (Wine Advocate): "Bursting with aromas of peach, white flowers and citrus zest, the 2018 Beaune 1er Cru Clos des Aigrots Blanc is medium to full-bodied, deep and complete, with racy acids and chalky structuring dry extract. The Lafarge family produced this wine using a basket press after foulage this year, and that appears to have been the perfect foil to the ripe vintage. Drink: 2021-2040. (1/9/20)"

90-92 points Neal Martin (Vinous): "The 2018 Beaune Clos des Aigrots 1er Cru Blanc has a fragrant bouquet of orange blossom, tangerine and light petrolly aromas that lend an almost Riesling-like allure. The palate is well balanced with a fine bead of acidity. The very harmonious finish displays nuttiness and salinity reminiscent of a Meursault. Excellent. Drink: 2022-2040. (Jan 2020)"

90-92 points Fine Wine Review: "The Clos des Aigrots is mineral and pure with moderate acidity, richness, freshness, and apple fruit. (2/10/20)"

90 points Allen Meadows (Burghound): "(opened from personal storage). Touches of petrol and phenolic hints (think olive oil nuances) add breadth to the ripe aromas of poached pear and baked apple that are trimmed in citrus confit a vague whiff of the exotic. There is excellent density to the round, plump and delicious medium-bodied flavors that exude a subtle minerality on the refreshingly dry if ever-so-slightly warm finale. I opened this just to see how it might be coming along and while it's obviously still quite young, it's not so tightly wound that it couldn't be enjoyed now. Tasted thrice with consistent notes. Drink: Try from 2024+. (Oct 2022)"
