93 points Robert Parker: "The 2010 La Chapelle de la Mission, which includes the production from the now-extinct La Tour Haut-Brion vineyard, is a blend of 47% Cabernet Sauvignon, 27% Merlot and the rest Cabernet Franc, which is a high percentage for the latter grape. Fleshy, succulent and opulent along the lines of the 2009 (which did surprise me), it is a big wine, with boatloads of glycerin and a classic Graves character of scorched earth, burning embers, charcoal, and plenty of black cherry and black currant fruit. The glycerin level is high, the fruit level impressive, and the purity and texture endearing. Drink it over the next 15 or so years. Drink: 2013-2038. (Feb 2013)"
93 points Lisa Perrotti-Brown (Wine Advocate): "Made of 47% Cabernet Sauvignon, 27% Merlot and the rest Cabernet Franc, the 2010 La Chapelle de la Mission Haut-Brion is deep garnet colored and has opulent scents of baked raspberries, Black Forest cake and blueberry tart with hints of star anise, prunes and spice cake. Full-bodied, rich and seductive in the mouth, the palate has a solid frame of firm, grainy tannins and bold freshness, finishing long and mineral laced. Drink: 2020-2032. (Mar 2020)"
93 points Jane Anson (Decanter): "I love the aromatics on this. Clear spice, some fig and cinnamon exoticism but set against fine tannins and a ton of juice. An elegant La Mission, not the most opulent texture of vintages at this estate, but it is open and would be extremely pleasurable to drink now. Touches of damson and black cherry fruit also as it opens further, a lovely La Chapelle, perhaps the most appealing right now of the second wines of the firsts. Easy to recommend. 35% new oak. Drinking window 2021-2032 (Feb 2021)"
93 points Andy Howard, MW (Decanter): "Supple tannins, fresh, vibrant dark fruit and bright acidity. La Chapelle de La Mission 2010 is a 'slimmed-down' version of the wonderful Grand Vin but one which possesses similar characteristics and is in the peak of its drinking window now. Doesn't have quite the same level of concentration but a very elegant, refined Graves red. Drinking Window: 2018-2030. (4/17/24)"
93 points Neal Martin (Vinous): "The 2010 La Chapelle de la Mission has a well-defined bouquet with brambly red fruit and undergrowth scents, hints of chai tea and bay leaf emerging with time. This is another Pessac-Léognan with a very pretty nose. The palate is medium-bodied with fine tannins and a crisp bead of acidity. This is well balanced, lightly spiced with and ferrous, persistent finish. Excellent. Tasted blind at Farr Vintners 10-Year On Bordeaux horizontal. Drink: 2021-2038. (Apr 2020)"
93 points Wine Spectator: "[$193 list] Deliciously tarry from the start, with a cauldron of steeped blackberry, boysenberry and pastis-soaked plum fruit melded to well-roasted apple wood and graphite notes. Intense and grippy, showing purity and polish. Should benefit from mid-term cellaring. Best from 2016 through 2030. (3/31/13)"
