98 points James Suckling: "Aromas of tar, black olive skin and blackberries follow through to a full body. Ultra-fine tannins and a long, linear finish with super intensity. Well-crafted in every sense. A fabulous Pomerol for the future. Try in 2022. (1/22/18)"

97 points Antonio Galloni (Vinous): "Newly-arrived Technical Director Marielle Cazaux turned out a jewel of a wine at La Conseillante in 2015, her debut vintage. A polished and super-sophisticated Pomerol, La Conseillante is all class. Precise, lifted aromatics make a strong first impression, but it is the wine's overall feel and sense of harmony that truly dazzle. Over the last two years, the 2015 seems to have gained in freshness, precision and nuance. What a wine! The blend is 81% Merlot, 19% Cabernet Franc. Don't' miss it. Drink: 2025-2040. (Feb 2018)"

97 points Chris Kissack (Winedoctor): "The élevage here was 18 months in barrel using 70% new oak. A very elegant nose, pure and showing a needle-like definition, with black cherry, black olive, dried damson fruits, with a very warm potter’s clay confidence, and notes of barrel spice mixed with a talc-like violet perfume. Opening out in the glass, it reveals little nuances of coffee bean and tobacco, the oak showing strongly at this stage. The palate is full, broad, richly textured, but also very taut, framed, a shell of structure at first, holding in place the fruit and texture, the palate filling out with time in the glass. These elements swirl around one another, balanced and harmonious, the palate feeling bold and firm, but complete and balanced. In the middle the tannins come through, with a surging energy, ripe and velvety, with a warm, spicy energy to the middle and end of it, leading into a finish gripped with polished tannins. This very imposing wine demands cellar time, and should make old bones very nicely. Tasted twice, in London and in Bordeaux. (May 2018)"

96 points Jeb Dunnuck: "Reminding me of the 2009, the 2015 La Conseillante is more overt and sexy compared to the 2016, offering a huge nose of mulled black fruits, spring flowers, chocolate and gravely/clay-like earthiness. This is a full-bodied, complex, elegant and layered 2015 that has a singular character and the class to drink well for 20-25 years. This tiny, yet brilliantly run estate covers 11.8 hectares of sandy, gravely soils located between Vieux Château Certain, Château L’Evangile, and Cheval Blanc. Managed by the talented and vivacious Marielle Cazaux, they produce one of the most exotic, perfumed, and elegant wines of the appellation, yet it never lacks for fruit and/or texture. Harvest is all by hand and done block by block, the grapes are fermented in concrete tanks, and the wine spends roughly 18 months in 70% new French oak, from a number of different coopers including Seguin-Moreau, Taransaud, Baron, and Darnajou. Production is around 3,200 cases. While all of the recent vintages showed beautifully, I suspect the 2016 will be the finest wine to date from this estate. Drink: 2020-2040. (11/30/17)"

96 points Lisa Perrotti-Brown (The Wine Independent): "The 2015 La Conseillante is composed of 80% Merlot and 20% Cabernet Franc. Deep garnet-purple colored, it bursts from the glass with bombastic notes of baked blackberries, stewed plums, and Morello cherries, plus suggestions of lilacs, chocolate box, and potpourri. Full-bodied, concentrated, and decadent, the palate is jam packed with blackberry and perfumed layers, framed by ripe, firm, plush tannins and lovely tension, finishing very long and perfumed. Alcohol 14.5%. Drink: 2022-2047. (6/8/22)"

94-96 points Peter Moser (Falstaff): "Deep, dark ruby, opaque core, purple reflections and subtle rim brightening. Intense dark berries on the nose with underlying hints of candied violets and ripe plums, a mineral touch and some roasted aromas.. Powerful on the palate with pronounced fruit, texture and fine tannins. Approachable and freshly structured, an elegant food companion with nougat on the finish. Definite further ageing potential. (5/30/16)"

95 points Wine Spectator: "This is reserved, with subtle Earl Grey tea, singed apple wood and warm fruitcake aromas opening slowly ahead of a core of dark boysenberry, raspberry and blackberry compote flavors. A lovely swath of velvety tannins carries the finish, with the fruit and spice aromas pulling together nicely. Some patience is needed here, but this is one of the elite of the AOC in this vintage. Best from 2023 through 2040. (3/31/18)"

95 points (17.5/20) La Revue du Vin de France: "The 2015 also offers a great deal of finesse and suggestion: we're right in the cru's characteristic style. On the palate, the fruit is velvety and heady, never heavy in structure, but with a rich alcohol content that dominates the finish. (2020)"
