92 points Antonio Galloni (Vinous): "The NV Extra-Brut Grand Cru (base 2021) is only Chardonnay in this vintage. Orange peel, passion fruit, jasmine and white flowers give the 2021 a decidedly exotic, tropical flair. I would prefer to drink this over the next handful of years, given its forward, open-knit personality. Drink: 2024-2029. (Mar 2024)"
92 points William Kelley (Wine Advocate): "La Closerie’s NV Extra Brut & (LC22), based predominantly on the 2022 vintage with approximately 20% reserve wine from 2021, is a Gueux-sourced blend produced from purchased fruit. The soils in the parcels informing this cuvée are notably sandier than those of Prévost’s own vineyard in Gueux. The blend also includes fruit from the cooler microclimate of Janvry, along with a small proportion from Les Béguines—“a bridge to the next cuvée,” as Prévost notes. Disgorged in October 2024, the wine unfurls in the glass with aromas of peach, red apple and toasted nuts, though it also exhibits a slightly high-toned edge on the nose with an elevated level of volatile acidity—an element that occasionally surfaces in this comparatively erratic cuvée. On the palate, it is medium- to full-bodied, with ripe yet brisk acidity and good tension. Drink: 2025-2032. (May 2025)"
