91 points Antonio Galloni (Vinous): "The 2017 Chablis Les Venerables is superb. Aromatically expansive and layered, the 2017 boasts terrific depth and complexity, with real persistence and character at this level. All the best qualities of this important Chablis vintage come through in the 2017, a wine that hits all the right notes with both style and substance. Drink: 2020-2029. (Jan 2020)"
90 points William Kelley (Wine Advocate): "La Chablisienne's most serious village wine is the 2017 Chablis Les Vénérables Vieilles Vignes, a cuvée produced from vines averaging 50 years of age. It is only released once it has a bit of bottle age: the 2015 is currently being commercialized. It's more reserved, unwinding in the glass with aromas of citrus oil and wet stones. On the palate, the wine is medium to full-bodied, textural and layered, with excellent concentration and tension, concluding with a precise and penetrating finish. Drink: 2021-2033. (Aug 2019)"
89-91 points Allen Meadows (Burghound): "(from 50+ year old vines that see 18 months of élevage). A shy nose grudgingly speaks of smoky matchstick, green fruit, white peach and just enough Chablis character to be persuasive. There is fine intensity to the delicious and succulent but relatively powerful flavors that appear to offer very fine development potential. Worth a look. Drink: 2023+. (Oct 2019)"
