92 points Stephan Reinhardt (Wine Advocate): "The Spätburgunder trocken 2022 Hochheim Reichestal GG VDP.Grosse Lage is deep, pure and intense on the nose that indicates ripe and concentrated dark cherry and berry fruit with, right now, prominent toast aromas with earthy notes reminiscent of a forest floor in deep autumn. Full-bodied, intense and concentrated on the palate yet with silky tannins and an elegant texture, this is a rich and juicy, well-balanced and intense Spätburgunder with a long and fruit-intense finish. The Reichestal is definitely richer and rounder than the Stein Erste Lage, and it might have a bigger aging potential; yet it also is a more international-styled oaky/chocolaty German Spätburgunder that could refine over the years on the bottle yet will it ever sing? Tasted with less passion at the Vorpremiere VDP.Grosses Gewächs in Wiesbaden in August and again at home a week later in early September 2024. Drink: 2025-2034. (Oct 2024)"
