95 points Anne Krebiehl, MW (Vinous): "The 2023 Riesling Niersteiner Hipping Grosses Gewächs is from a site with various exposures, as it is in a dell. It was harvested all at once, lending a spectrum of ripeness. Yarrow, chamomile and tansy are all suggested in its glorious herbal lift, accompanied by ripe Amalfi lemon zestiness. The palate has immediate fluidity and moves with dynamism and energy, pushing forward with savory lemon vivaciousness. So fluid, so full, yet so light. (Bone-dry) Drink: 2028-2050. (Sep 2024)"
94 points Stephan Reinhardt (Wine Advocate): "The 2023 Nierstein Hipping GG is pure, deep and flinty on the complex and savory nose that also reveals tropical fruit aromas yet keeps the focus on precision, freshness and purity of the Hipping terroir. Savory, salivating, saline and straight and in a certain way also astringent, this is a youthful Hipping with a long, savory and intense, dense and sustainable finish. It's very promising, but give it time! 12.5% stated alcohol. Diam cork. Tasted at the domaine in August 2024. Drink: 2024-2042. (10/31/24)"
93+ points Ulrich Sautter (Falstaff): "Offers something subtle on the nose: sesame oil, some rhubarb, red apple, peach, dried herbs. The ageing counteracts the site's tendency towards fullness, salty minerality and citric freshness provide profile on the palate. Alcohol 12.5%. (11/11/24)"
