95 points Simon Field, MW (The World of Fine Wine): "(disgorged January 2018; dosage 6g/l). Included in the blend of 45 percent Chardonnay, 29 percent Pinot Noir, and 26 percent Pinot Meunier is 12 percent of traditionally macerated Pinot Noir. Rosehip and strawberry color and a disarming nose of mulberry, jambon cru, and peony; symphonic for sure, its power held in check by an almost electric poise and balletic precision, resplendent on the finish. Mid-palate red-fruit vinosity is matched by notes of patisserie, violets, and even a whisper of aniseed. Reassuringly excellent on every level. (Issue 66; 2019)"

95 points Wine Enthusiast: "Krug's releases have always shown a wonderful balance between fruit and maturity. This rosé, the 23rd blending, is no exception. The nutty character of a mature Champagne is there along with red fruits, intense acidity from Pinot Noir and impeccable balance at the end. The wine is ready to drink. Alcohol 12.5%. (Mar 2020)"

94+ points John Gilman (View From the Cellar): "The Krug Rosé '23ème Édition' is... quite a bit deeper salmon in color than previous iterations, though no less elegant and refined... The new edition was disgorged in the spring of 2017 and includes a blend of vintages from 2011 all the way back to 2000. Because the base year of 2011 was far from typical, fully fifty-six percent of the cuvée this year is composed of reserve wines, with the final cépages working out to be forty-five percent chardonnay, twenty-nine percent pinot noir and twenty-six percent pinot meunier. The wine is aromatically stunning, soaring from the glass in a refined blend of cherries, a touch of tangerine, smoky overtones, rose petals, a beautiful base of gently salty soil elements, lovely and almost exotic spice tones and a hint of rye toast in the upper register. On the palate the wine is deep, full-bodied and exquisitely complex, with a lovely core of fruit, great soil signature, bright, seamless acids, pinpoint bubbles and great length and grip on the classy and gently vinous finish. Outstanding juice. 2019-2050. (May/Jun 2019)"

94 points Wine Spectator: "A creamy plushness accents this tightly meshed rosé Champagne, with rich hints of toasted nut and caffè crema underscoring the baked currant and apricot fruit flavors. Well-honed acidity focuses this through to the mouthwatering, chalk- and spice-laced finish. Disgorged spring 2017. Drink now through 2025. (11/30/19)"

94 points Antonio Galloni (Vinous): "...wonderfully nuanced and layered, with lovely richness to play off a core of bright red berry fruit. Although not especially complex in this release, the Rosé offers lovely immediacy and tons of pure pleasure. Crushed berries, chalk, mint and white flowers are nicely softened in this super-expressive, beautifully persistent Rosé. A few more years in bottle will only help. The 23ème is a Champagne of pure and total pleasure. This release is based on 2011, with reserve wines back to 2000. Drink: 2021-2041. (Jul 2019)"

94 points Simon Field, MW (Decanter): "Krug Rosé has got darker over the years, a statement of intent perhaps, its significant 13% of macerated Pinot Noir sourced from a special plot in Ay. Despite this Chardonnay is the key shareholder in the blend, its 45% outweighing near equal measures of the two Pinots. Gravitas translates on the palate to cherry fruit and spice, herbs and hints of quince and rosemary; unashamedly complex for sure, gastronomically promising without a doubt. For all the power and glory, the wine is fresh, energetic and forward, its unrivalled pedigree immediately obvious for all to behold. Drinking Window: 2019-2028. (Jun 2019)"
