88 points Stephen Reinhardt (Wine Advocate): "Destemmed and straightly pressed, the 2021 Pinot Gris Trocken is predominantly aged in stainless steel for 18 months on the fine lees. The wine opens with pencil tip flavors on the nose that displays an intense and fruity bouquet with delicate spice notes. Fresh and delicate on the palate, this is a light, leaner style of Pinot Gris with a stimulatingly saline, finely yeasty and bitter finish. This is another gastronomic white that has delicate citrus notes on the finish and is not miles away from a Muscadet sur lie. 13% stated alcohol. Screw cap. Tasted in Lütjensee, Hamburg, in June 2023. Drink 2023-2030 (Aug 2023)"
Producer notes: Pale green-yellow in color with aromas of fine fresh apple fruit, honey melon and a hint of wild herbs. Juicy on the palate with elegant texture, there is discreet acidity and white tropical fruit flavor. Fresh citrus and minerality on the pleasant finish.
