Then comes the astonishingly vibrant, medium-bodied palate. Such a precise and uplifting wine for all its ample concentration and restrained power, particularly in the extremely long and elegant finish. Drink or hold. (10/7/24)"

94-96 points Anne Krebiehl, MW (Vinous): "The 2023 Grüner Veltliner Schütt Smaragd roots in deep, weathered gneiss deposited by the Mentalgraben gully, benefitting from cool airflows. A touch of citrus accompanies the fern notes of the nose and brings even more green, savory foliage. That lovely green, yeasty gentleness is even more present on the stony body, which has a distinct note of wet pebble. Lovely depth, stoniness, quiet understatement, really straight. This needs time to show its full colors. (Bone-dry) Drink: 2028-2053. (Jul 2024)"
