The whisky was initially matured for just over 12 years in an Oloroso sherry butt and was then transferred to an Oloroso sherry hogshead, where it was stored for a further 3 years. This is not only one of the oldest sherry cask maturations ever bottled by Kilchoman, but also one of the last remaining Oloroso sherry casks in Kilchoman’s warehouses, dating back to 2008.
