95+ points John Gilman (View From the Cellar): "Klaus-Peter Keller’s old vines in the Kirchspiel are forty-nine years of age in 2013, and 2014 is going to have to be another stellar vintage if the fiftieth birthday bottling of these vines is going to keep pace with this beautiful wine! The 2013 Kirchspiel offers up a wonderfully pure and refined nose that just exudes limestone minerality in its mélange of mandarin orange, gentle smoky tones, wild yeasts, kaleidoscopic minerality, orange zest and a nice dollop of dried flowers in the upper register. On the palate the wine is pure, full-bodied and absolutely defined by its brilliant complex minerality, with superb mid-palate depth, electric acidity, seamless balance and laser-like focus on the very, very long, primary and dancing finish. A brilliant vintage of Kirchspiel GG. 2022-2065. (Mar/Apr 2014)"

93+ points Stephen Reinhardt (Wine Advocate): "Straw yellow/white golden in color, the 2013 Westhofen Kirchspiel Riesling trocken offers a deep, dense and complex, fascinatingly pure and developing bouquet of powdered limestone, peeled limes, herbs (tarragon) and white peaches. Rich, round, and complex on the palate, this medium to full-bodied, concentrated, juicy yet firmly structured, piquant and persistently mineral Riesling has a refreshingly citric, stimulating finish and can age at least for a decade. Drink: 2018-2023. (May 2015)"

93 points Mosel Fine Wines: "The 2013er Kirchspiel Riesling, as it is referred to on the front label, delivers an aromatic and seductive nose of Williams pear, mirabelle, yellow peach, almond, and aniseed herbs, as well as a hint of pineapple. The wine is delicately fruity and juicy on the palate and shows an intense yet refined and delicate structure. It is intense with a dry (rather than bone-dry) feel in the long finish. We would opt to wait another couple of years for the wine to develop even more finesse and balance. 2028-2038+. (Issue #65; Apr 2023)"
