The magical nose wafts from the glass in a blend of lemon, tangerine, pink grapefruit, pulverized stone, a gentle touch of wild yeasts, incipient notes of petrol, orange peel and a topnote of lemongrass. On the palate the wine is full-bodied, pure and very refined, with laser-like focus, great complexity and mid-palate depth, ripe, racy acids and stunning balance on the very long and racy finish. Just a brilliant wine in the making. If I were the queen, I might make sure to keep a couple of cases of this wine around for her seventieth anniversary as well! 2020-2050. (Mar/Apr 2013)"
