Keller's "RR" bottling is made from the Westhofener Kirchspiel—the vineyard that gives his legendary Kirchspiel GG bottling. Where the GG is made from a plot of old vines on limestone, this comes from vines planted on volcanic soils, which give the wine a bit more power and texture. This wine is generally fermented down to levels of sugar barely above legally dry and the combination of fruit and vibrancy is truly electric.
