92 points John Gilman (View From the Cellar): "The 2001 Côte-Rôtie from Domaine Jasmin is drinking beautifully today. This was a cooler year in the region that started out life fairly tannic, but which has aged gracefully and is now fully mature. The bouquet is nicely tertiary in its expressions of sweet dark berries, cassis, hung game, pepper, bonfire, autumnal soil tones and a topnote of hazelnut. On the palate the wine is pure, full-bodied and now quite velvety on the attack, with a good core, melting tannins and lovely balance on the focused, complex and quite suave finish. This wine still has plenty of life ahead of it, but it is now into its plateau of maturity and drinking with ease. 2023-2055. (May/Jun 2023)"
90-92 points Robert Parker: "The 2001 Cote Rotie’s deep ruby color is accompanied by explosive aromas of sweet raspberry fruit intermixed with a hint of apricots (7-8% Viognier is added to the blend). Well-delineated and floral, with a cherry/raspberry fruit component beautifully displayed, this medium-bodied 2001 is not a blockbuster, but it wins the taster over with its delicacy and finesse.
