91-94 points Stephen Tanzer (Vinous): "Bright, dark red. Highly complex, expressive scents and flavors of black cherry, blueberry, blackberry, licorice, animal fur and brown spices. Rich, pliant and slightly wild in the mouth, conveying compelling Gevrey perfume. Very suave for Cazetiers and most impressive on the back end, which features serious but smooth tannins and rising, palate-staining length. Cazetiers is our most consistent Gevrey premier cru after Clos Saint-Jacques, notes winemaker Frédéric Barnier. (Jan 2016)"
91-93 points Neal Martin (Wine Advocate): "The 2014 Gevrey Chambertin 1Er Cru Cazetiers is a large step up from the village cru with a different level of tension and mineralité. The palate is very cohesive with supple tannin, very well judged acidity, real density and poise, with a dash of white pepper and sage on the finish. There is a lot of charm and passion about this Cazetiers and it comes highly recommended. Drink: 2017-2032. (12/30/15)"
91-93 points/'Sweet spot/Outstanding,' Allen Meadows (Burghound): "Here strong reduction renders the nose completely unreadable. However there is good freshness and excellent intensity to the vibrant, detailed and impressively scaled broad-shouldered flavors that possess excellent power and plenty of underlying tension on the focused, youthfully austere and impeccably well-balanced finish. This firmly structured and beautifully persistent effort is really very good and worth a look. Drink: 2026+. (Apr 2016)"
