96 points Neal Martin (Wine Advocate): "Tasted blind at the Burgfest 2014 tasting, the 2014 Chapelle Chambertin Grand Cru from Louis Jadot (Domaine Gagey) has a very subtle and refined bouquet with pure red berry fruit, minerals, rose petals and orange blossom—one of the most entrancing aromatics of the vintage. The palate is very well balanced with a slightly tart entry, driven along by the acidity but with sufficient fruit tucked in just below. It fans out gloriously on the finish and leaves you wanting more. Quite simply, this is one of the finest wines from this grand cru vineyard. Tasted September 2017. Drink: 2020-2045. (10/31/17)"

95 points Stephen Tanzer (Vinous): "Bright, dark red Ineffable floral and pepper topnotes to the aromas of black raspberry, tart cherry, licorice, menthol and spices At once savory and sweet; incredibly dense, refined wine with uncommon creaminess and concentration to its flavors of red and black fruits, minerals and herbs Superb old-vines thickness and silky depth here, but also with terrific definition, spine and energy Finishes with outstanding rising length A treat to taste today but this almost liqueur-like wine should go on for 20+ years A great performance in this cooler vintage Drink: 2025-2040. (Mar 2017)"

95 points Wine Enthusiast: "[$286 list] This grand cru bottling comes from vines owned by Louis Jadot. It's firmly structured, as befits a wine from this village, and shows a predominance of red fruit and acidity. However, with its dry core and concentration, it will need to age. Drink from 2025. Alcohol 13%. (May2017)"

93 points Bruce Sanderson (Wine Spectator): "[$286 list] A lively, fluid red, delivering cherry, currant, spice and smoke flavors. Backed by serious tannins, this finds equilibrium on the lingering aftertaste. Best from 2021 through 2038. 180 cases made, 70 cases imported. (5/31/17)"

93 points Jasper Morris, MW (Inside Burgundy): "Medium bright colour, flamboyant fruit perhaps just short of classical elegance, but there follows a burst of very pleasing energy. Medium to long aftertaste. (Sep 2017)"
