95 points Bruce Sanderson (Wine Spectator): "[$96 list] Powerful and complex, this red features black cherry, plum, tobacco, spice and mineral aromas and flavors. Firmly structured and beautifully balanced, with a lush, kaleidoscopic finish. Delivers dense, well-proportioned tannins and looks set for a long life ahead. Best from 2025 through 2045. 170 cases imported. (5/31/22)"

94 points Charles Curtis, MW (Decanter): "Produced from the stony soils of the 1.23ha Clos des Ursules, located within Premier Cru Vignes Franches, bordering the Clos des Mouches on the southern reaches of the slope on the way to Pommard. The vineyard produces a dark, plummy fruit character, with a marked minerality and pleasant floral notes. The texture is silky and lush, with an approachable, tender texture and good length. Drinking Window: 2021-2025.(Oct 2020)"

92-94 points William Kelley (Wine Advocate): "Always one of the high points of the portfolio, the 2019 Beaune 1er Cru Clos des Ursules (Domaine des Héritiers Jadot) offers up aromas of berries and plums with hints of warm spices and orange rind, framed by a deft touch of new oak. Medium to full-bodied, round and fleshy, with elegantly muscular structuring tannins and lively acids, this will age with grace. (Jan 2021)"

90-94 points Jasper Morris, MW: "A wonderful dry stone Cabotte has been built on the edge of the Clos des Ursules, competition for Andy Goldsworthy. Mid purple, spicy and ripe with a good density of fruit, but perhaps showing the heat a touch more. Then oaky and some firmer tannins. Not quite so harmonious today, but I bet it will become so. (Oct 2020)"

91-93 points Neal Martin (Vinous): "The 2019 Beaune Clos des Ursules 1er Cru has a fragrant bouquet featuring a mélange of red and black fruit intermingled with orange blossom and iodine aromas. Good intensity. The palate is medium-bodied with a stocky opening, fine structure and symmetry and a fine bead of acidity. There’s a dark fruit flourish toward the finish, which leaves behind a subtle marine-themed aftertaste. Excellent. Drink: 2023-2038. (Dec 2020)"

Bill Nanson (Burgundy Report): "Domaine des Heritiers. This nose, by comparison, is fuller in the depth. Rounder, more mouth-filling, the fine structure has a little more visibility. Waves of finishing flavour radiate from the core – another really excellent wine… (Nov 2020)"
