92 points/'Outstanding,' Allen Meadows (Burghound): "(from a .20 ha parcel). A reserved and moderately spicy nose of dark berry fruit and earth aromas is trimmed in enough wood to notice but not so much as to be intrusive. There is fine concentration and solid power to the robust medium-bodied flavors that are supported by ripe and firm tannins that stop just short of rusticity on the balanced and admirably long finish. This is very promising as the elements are in balance and about the only nit is that this doesn't have the refinement that one typically associates with a Vosne 1er. Worth considering if you have the patience to cellar the wine for at least another 5 years and more should pay additional dividends. Drink: 2021+. (Oct 2014)"
