95 points Stuart Pigott (JamesSuckling.com): "This youthful dry Riesling is old school in the best sense of the word, the substantial power elegantly underplayed, the greatness all tucked away in the detail of the finely-nuanced medium-bodied palate. From organically grown grapes. Drinkable now, but best from 2025. Glass stopper. (11/24/22)"
94 points Stephan Reinhardt (Wine Advocate): "The 2021 Wallufer Walkenberg Riesling Spätlese trocken Alte Reben opens with a clear and concentrated nose of ripe white peach and apricot aromas intermingled with spicy/mineral tones indicating substance and intensity. Round and elegant on the palate, with ripe and well-integrated acidity and a serious mineral structure, this is a complex, full-bodied and persistent Walkenberg with a saline finish. This can go the long distance, dense and structured as it is. 12.5% stated alcohol. Glass stopper. Tasted at the domaine in Walluf in September 2023. Drink: 2024-2050. (12/29/23)"
93 points Anne Krebiehl, MW (Vinous): "The 2021 Riesling Wallufer Walkenberg Alte Reben Spätlese trocken is made from 40- to 70-year-old vines. The nose is shy. The palate is crystalline and very clear-cut. Gentle fruit aligns itself around a central streak of brightness with yellow grapefruit and ripe lemon. There's a citrus-edged stoniness. A streamlined freshness is carried by yeast and defines the bright palate. Fresh, bright, vivid and svelte, but with lovely depth and a lasting, luminous finish. (Bone-dry) Drink: 2025-2050. (Dec 2023)"
