Producer notes: In Ian Brand's own words, Supertoothy is responsibly orange. A wine that dabbles with skin contact fermentation but doesn't fall victim to some of the common pitfalls of the genre. A unique blend driven by Sauvignon Gris (68%) from the Vista Verde Vineyard in San Benito County. This rare genetic varient of Sauvignon Blanc has pink hue to it's skin, tiny berries and high acidity. There is then 24% Verdelho and splashed of Pinot Gris and Chenin Blanc. The majority of the wine is fermented with native yeast on skins for 4-5 days before being pressed off to a mix of stainless steel and neutral oak.
