94 points John Gilman (View From the Cellar): "The 2023 Clos du Bourg Demi-Sec from Domaine Huët is another beautiful example of the vintage. As is often the case these days, this wine comes in a half point higher in octane than the Le Mont version, tipping the scales at 13.5 percent alcohol. The wine offers up a superb aromatic constellation of sweet quince, yellow plum, beeswax, honeycomb, chalky minerality, lanolin and a topnote of citrus blossoms. On the palate the wine is bright, full-bodied, complex and beautifully balanced, with a lovely core of fruit, just a whisper of early honey tones, good acids and focus and a long, succulent and very tasty finish. This is another beautiful bottle of Demi-Sec, but it does not quite have the filigree of the Le Mont version this year. 2024-2080. (May/Jun 2024)"

94 points Wine Spectator: "[$48 list] Firmly structured and elegant, this is a demi-sec but supremely food-friendly and balanced, with subtle sweetness deftly offset by savory power and mineral notes. Plush and generous, with flavors of honeycomb, ripe apple and heather that are all tightly hemmed in with plum skin acidity and apple seed tannins. Green almond bitterness and hints of fleur de sel mark the complex finish. Drink now through 2037. 490 cases made. (11/30/24)"

93+ points Audrey Frick (JebDunnuck.com): "Medium yellow/silver-colored, the 2023 Vouvray Demi-Sec Clos Du Bourg reveals aromas of fresh pear, hay, delicate smoky earth, wet stone, and fresh linen. Medium-bodied, it offers a lot of elegance as it floats on the palate, with a soft stony texture and just a kiss of sweetness. It displays wonderful length combined with an easygoing, springy feel and has a fabulous, clean finish. It’s an incredibly versatile wine for pairing with savory food with some heat, although at this youthful stage, it feels a touch shy through the mid-palate, as its Sec counterpart did at this same tasting. Drink 2024-2034. (10/22/24)"

Rebecca Gibb, MW (Vinous): "The 2023 Vouvray Sec Clos du Bourg Sec is a bit muted at this stage, but this tasting is only three weeks after bottling. It's also closed on the palate and needs time to come around. This isn't where it ought to be. The concentration is there, and the classic amplitude and curves are there with a super line and frame, but it just needs to get over its bottle shock. I'm going to come back to this wine in a couple of months. (Jul 2024)"
