91-93 points/'Outstanding,' Allen Meadows (Burghound): "The fruit is almost sweet in character with its ripe black cherry, plum, anise and whiff of cassis aromas that are trimmed in subtle oak. There is excellent underlying tension to the sleek and lightly stony larger-scaled flavors that display focused power on the firm, serious and lingering finish where the sweetness of the nose resurfaces. I suspect that the sweetness will eventually subside. Drink: 2031+. (Jan 2023)"
91-93 points Neal Martin (Vinous): "The 2021 Morey-Saint-Denis Les Millandes 1er Cru is matured with 60% whole bunches. It has a complex nose, dark berry fruit, truffle and undergrowth scents. The palate is medium-bodied with fine tannins that frame the very peppery red fruit. I appreciate the finesse and elegance that comes through on the finish. Classy. Drink: 2025-2038. (Jan 2023)"
90 points/'Very Good+,' Steen Öhman (Winehog): "Next up is Morey Les Millandes, from a vineyard below Clos Saint-Denis. It’s rich, generous, and juicy. From 70-year-old vines, this has good energy and depth. There are slightly hard edges to the tannins; nothing to worry about, but perhaps the extraction could have been a bit lighter. Drink from 2030. (12/8/22)"
