91+ points John Gilman (View From the Cellar): "The 2016 Gevrey-Chambertin 'Vieilles Vignes' from Philippe Harmand is absolutely classic in profile on both the nose and palate. The bouquet delivers a fine blend of cassis, dark berries, grilled meats, black minerality, espresso, gentle smokiness and a discreet base of new oak. On the palate the wine is pure, full-bodied and quite sappy at the core, with fine underlying terroir, suave, seamless tannins and a very long, precise and tangy finish. This will drink sooner than the very good Clos Prieur here, but should age just as long. Fine, fine juice. (Drink between 2021-2050. (Nov/Dec 2017)"
