95 points Stephan Reinhardt (Wine Advocate): "The 2021 Juffer-Sonnenuhr Spätlese is clear, intense and bright on the layered and lovely minty, finely coolish and very delicate and flinty nose. Concentrated and lush on the palate, this is a saline and tensioned, mouthwatering Spätlese of great elegance, finesse and freshness. 7.5% stated alcohol. Natural cork. Tasted at the domaine in July 2022. (Aug 2022)"
93 points John Gilman (View From the Cellar): "The 2021 Juffer-Sonnenuhr Spätlese comes in at the same 7.5 percent octane this year as the Juffer bottling, but with slightly higher acids and sugars, as the numbers for this wine are seventy-six grams of residual sugar and 10.7 grams of acidity. The bouquet is precise and complex, offering up a vibrant blend of lime, tangerine, a touch of white cherry, mint, cress, bee pollen, violets, lavender and a gorgeous foundation of slate. On the palate the wine is medium-full, complex and zesty, with lovely intensity of flavor, fine focus and cut, buried acids and a long, seamlessly balanced and absolutely delicious long finish. A lovely Spätlese. 2023-2065+. (Mar/Apr 2023)"
