Sensational interplay of dramatically contoured minerality with dense bergamot, grapefruit and star fruit character. 93 points Anne Krebiehl, MW (Vinous): "The 2023 Riesling vom Vulkan is picked in the Kupfergrube, made in stainless steel and Stück. The reduction crackles with flintiness on the nose. Salt and peach skin combine in a stony, taut but immensely juicy package that is alive with ripe lemon and pale orange zest. The 2023 is streamlined, zesty and totally mouthwatering, again without any fat at all. The finish is seemingly just stone and zest. (Bone-dry) Drink: 2028-2050. (Sep 2024)"
