94 points Stuart Pigott (JamesSuckling.com): "In spite of the generous citrus fruit and wildflower aromas, this sleek beauty is anything but dramatic. In fact it is still quite tightly wound on the medium-bodied palate. The garden herb complexity that makes this stand out builds and builds in the long, cool, elegant finish. Needs a bit of time to give its best. 100% from the Hermannsberg GG site. From organically grown grapes with Fair'n Green certification. Drinkable now, but best from 2025. (7/31/24)"

93 points Anne Krebiehl, MW (Vinous): "The 2023 Riesling vom Schiefer is picked exclusively in the Hermannsberg. It is fermented in both stainless steel and Stück, from vines that do not make it into the GG. The crushed herb nose has a minty lift and a subtle stone note. Both notions are fleeting on the shy nose. The palate is a beautifully fused combination of salt, apple tisane and tender citrus. The slender palate has immense fill while retaining its fine contour, brimming with ripe, tart, lovely orange zest, elongated, juicy, ripe and lasting. The 2023 is beautiful, smooth and lasting. (Bone-dry) Drink: 2028-2050. (Sep 2024)"

93 points Ulrich Sautter (Falstaff): "Pebbles and slate harmonise with citrus fruit aromas, orange peel, tangerine and some grapefruit. The minerality is also vivid on the palate, where it also forms a perfect alliance with the citrus fruit notes. Playful and long. (11/11/24)"
