93 points Anne Krebiehl, MW (Vinous): "The 2024 Riesling 7 Terroirs is, notably, the only wine that Peter Karsten made after the April 2024 frost. Usually a blend of fruit from the seven sites classified as 'Grosse Lage,' this year it was made from all the fruit of the year. This holds all the fruit from across the sites. It fermented partially in stainless steel and in oak to keep the style consistent. There’s a creaminess on the nose, a stony verve and a touch of peach. The palate flows and glides, filling every atom of its 12% alcohol with beautiful poise and fruit. This is concentrated but comes with a small footprint and exquisitely buffered freshness. Roundness and a superbly smooth mouthfeel characterize this, finishing with both zest and pith. (Bone-dry) Drink: 2025-2040. (Jun 2025)"
91 points Stephan Reinhadt (Wine Advocate): "Due to the extreme spring frost in late April last year, Gut Hermannsberg decided not to vinify any Grosses Gewächs in 2024. Instead, all of the grapes from all seven GG vineyards were used for the Gutswein 2024 7 Terroirs. As a result, the wine is at a remarkably high level—powerful, complex and, at the same time, precise. This vivid yellow-colored Riesling opens with an intense and well-concentrated white and yellow fruit aroma intertwined with hazelnut, stony/mineral, slightly flinty and lemony notes. Still a little reductive, the wine is rather light on the palate yet fleshy, pure and fresh, provided with juicy fruit and carried by the stony, partly slatey and partly volcanic soils of the seven grands crus cultivated by Karsten Peter and his team. This is an excellent, authentic 2024 with a leaner but elegant and lively character. 12% stated alcohol. Diam 10 cork. Tasted in June 2025. Drink: 2025-2040. (Aug 2025)"
