96 points James Suckling: "Ripe lemon peel and orange. Some honey and vanilla with loads of new wood. Dense and very sweet on the palate with nice pure fruit and firm tannins from the oak that still needs time to soften. This Sauternes shows a wonderful fruit and excellent potential, but needs time. Try in 2018. (2/2/13)"

96 points (18/20) La Revue du Vin de France: "The 2010 combines opulence and freshness, and its finesse and precision place it among the great successes of this vintage. (2013)"

95 points James Lawther MW (Decanter): "Lively and expressive, with floral and citrus notes – there’s even a touch of lemon sherbet. Round, full and textured with bitter orange freshness and persistence. Pure and complete. Grown organically. Drinking Window: 2019-2040. (4/12/19)"

95 points Neal Martin (Vinous): "The 2010 Guiraud is a little closed on the nose like the 2010 Climens and demands a lot of coaxing from the glass. Eventually it reveals scents of dried honey, fig and ginger but they feel muted at the moment. The palate is much better and more expressive with tangy marmalade and quince notes, good depth and fine tension. It is just a case of waiting for the nose to open because the palate really shows the potential here. Tasted blind at Farr Vintners 10-Year On Bordeaux horizontal. Drink: 2023-2060 (Apr 2020)"

94 points Wine Spectator: "A thick, unctuous style, with marzipan, dried pineapple, mango and dried guava notes leading to a good bolt of toasted almond and pie crust on the finish. A muscular, well-stuffed version that will need some time to settle in. Best from 2015 through 2030. (3/31/13)"

94 points Lisa Perroti-Brown (The Wine Independent): "Pale to medium gold colored, the 2010 Guiraud bounds out of the glass with exuberant notes of pineapple upside-down cake, candied almonds, praline, and spiced pears with lemon marmalade and clover honey. Full, rich, opulent, and spicy, it has a lively backbone and opulent finish. Drink: 2022-2047. (May 2022)"

94 points Tim Atkin, MW (Mar 2011).
